What are the tenant's responsibilities?

The following are general observations about living in an inner city community and respecting your neighbours and the area in which you live. There are specific responsibilities which can be enforced in accordance with your lease; however we will make every effort to work in partnership with leaseholders and renting tenants to maintain a friendly and harmonious environment.

It is the leaseholder’s responsibility to pay the service charges and ground rent promptly under the terms of the lease. If they are not paid, and the Residential Management Company can satisfy a Leasehold Valuation Tribunal that the charges are properly due and reasonable, then the Residential Management Company can begin forfeiture proceedings by applying for a court order. Forfeiture is at the court's discretion, but where it is approved, this can result in the Residential Management Company repossessing the property. The Residential Management Company may alternatively seek a county court judgement for payment.
